The Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza is the iconic building of our city designed by the famous architect Andrea Palladio. Since 1994 it has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
A Wonderful setting, the Basilica has hosted the masterpieces of Raphael, Picasso, Canaletto and Monet, to name only the most famous, and from December 2014 you may visit a new exhibition by Marco Goldin "Tutankhamon Caravaggio Van Gogh. The evening and night from the Egyptians to the twentieth century".
During summer, the Basilica opens its terrace: this year you can visit it from June 22nd to October 31st: do not miss the magic atmosphere of the Vicenza rooftops while enjoying your cocktail!
The entrance ticket is € 3.00/per person, € 5.00/per person for those who want to buy a number of unlimited entrances, throughout the opening period.
The Terrace Opening Hours
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 am to 1 pm and from 6 pm to midnight;
- Friday from 10 am to 1 pm and from 6 pm to 1 am;
- Saturday from 10 am to 1 am;
- Sunday from 10 am to midnight.
- Last admission half hour prior to closure time.
The Olimpic Theater is the masterpiece of Andrea Palladio: started in 1580, was completed five years later by Vincenzo Scamozzi, which will complete the work by adding the perspective the streets of Thebes, created for the show inauguration Oedipus the Tyrant Sophocles.
The theater is open all year. Particularly attractive in summer when you can enjoy concerts of classical music or jazz. Opening times Tuesday to Sunday, from 9.00 to 17.00 (last entry 16:30)
